The PBR Heart of Texas showcase featured some of the best teams, and prospects from the southern region of the united states. Premier basketball always does an amazing job providing a platform for these young women to compete in front of some of the best college recruiters and evaluators in the country.

As I stated yesterday, I wanted to specifically focus on watching the upperclassmen and incoming seniors compete this weekend. And let me tell you, the state of Texas is loaded with college prospects in the 2019 class. There aren’t as many big names, and/or potential All-Americans as we’ve had in the past, but there is a plethora of really good college basketball players, for all levels and conferences in this incoming senior class of 2019.

Saturday was a FULL day, and I was able to see a ton of talent throughout the day. The AD Elite 17U team is one that really stood out. They played extremely well that afternoon, my book was quickly filled with notes for almost every individual on this team. Kailey Berszin, Jordyn Carter, Danielle Byers, Marilah Johnson, Daija Williams, Sydney Rollins, Anyssa Anderson, Sheridan Bostic, Kai Finister, Madison Griffon, and Cosette Kirsch. They all showed something saturday afternoon that said they can play this game at the next level. Some will be more productive at higher levels than others, but most of them are really good college prospects, from a great organization. Definitely worth a peek at some point in July college coaches.

I also had the opportunity to watch the SA Finest Tay Bo squad compete on Saturday. They have 3 senior perimeter players with real college potential in Sarah Gwin, John-Dasia Henderson, and Angie Sanchez. SAF Tay-Bo also features, a hard-working front-court player in Amie Ramirez.  The SAF Tay-Bo seniors held their own against a really good KS Chaos club. They came out hot and carried their team to an early 12-pt lead. However, the KS Chaos have one hell of a player in Emily Ryan. A kid some believe to be the best sophomore in the state of Kansas. She led them back to defeat the Finest, but the four SAF Tay-Bo seniors mentioned above competed the entire game and was able to showcase some good things that will translate to the next level last Saturday.

Lastly, one of my favorite match-ups of the weekend was on Saturday, AD Elite – Peterson against Urban Heroes Elite – Marcus. Both teams are loaded with Division I caliber players, from Power 5 to Low majors, you can find all you need between the two of these teams. AD Elite’s Corina Carter is a dynamic player & playmaker from the point. Meanwhile Taylor Hutchins for UHE is one of the toughest defensive assignments in the country. Getting to see those two compete is always a joy, but the real match-up was at the forward position between AD-Elite’s London Clarkson, and the Urban Heroes Tavy Diggs. Both of these young women have top 15 Shes Ballin Prospect Composite Scores, and showcased why this afternoon. Tavy is a pinch-post nightmare, and London’s toughness on both ends is hard to match. Other names to look out from both clubs: Mikayla Woods, Tiffany McGarity, Zaya Price, Ta’Niya Jackson, and Kiera King from AD-Elite. Kayla Harris-Williams, Jasmine Bailey, Ngozi Obinekem and Kyla Howard from Urban Heroes Elite.
